Thick Pea & Ham Soup

As I’m writing this in October, the colder days are quickly coming! One of the bizarre parts of living in the UK is that around this time of year, one day it will be so cold and rainy, and the next will be so sunny! I am however starting to crave that winter comfort food, and this pea & ham soup is perfect! You can’t go wrong with a syn free soup!

Pea & ham soup

Pea & ham soup is something that I only recently grew fond of. I never liked the thought of pea soup, however, if you add ham to the mix, it’s so much better!

Soup makers

I ran a poll asking if people thought that a soup maker was worth it. It had some very mixed responses! Most who were for the soup maker said that you can simply add all the ingredients into the soup maker and set it away without having to worry. A soup maker which proved to be popular is the Morphy Richards Compact Soup Maker.

I found that those who were against the soup maker mostly said that they didn’t feel the need to buy one. After all, you can make it yourself without too much hassle. One person commented that they found it more satisfying knowing that they had done it all and put the effort in, which I liked!

If you do not have a soup maker, a blender such as the Morphy Richards Jug Blender would do the job perfectly!
