BBQ Chicken Pizza

When I’m craving a takeaway, I usually go straight to the takeaway menu, specifically for the pizza shop! This BBQ chicken pizza option is a great way to stay within your calories and curb that takeaway craving while staying on plan and not feeling guilty! A winner in my eyes!

The fact that you can recreate your own takeaway without going off plan is one of the best parts of losing weight (in my opinion). Who doesn’t love being able to eat PIZZA and lose weight?! Have your pizza, and eat it! (Not quite the correct quote I know, but still fitting).

BBQ chicken pizza

The great thing about this recipe is that you can add whatever toppings you like to the pizza! Why not try a classic hawaiian with a passata base? Or even scrap the pizza toppings and create your own cheesy garlic bread? These are my favourite toppings to get from the takeaway, so decided to make my own to save me a whole bunch of calories!

The base that I use is from Lo-dough. I love these as they’re only 39 calories each! Not only can you use them as a base for things like pizza, but you can also use them as a wrap, blitz it up for breadcrumbs or even use it as a crust for a quiche!

Ingredients

  • 1 Lo-dough base (code SHRINKINGJESS10 gets 10% off)

  • 100g Cooked chicken slices

  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce

  • 50g Mozzarella cheese for pizza

  • 1/2 Green pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 Red pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 Red onion, sliced

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
  • Spread your BBQ sauce onto the Lo-dough base.
  • Spread the tomato sauce across the Lo-dough base, going all the way to the edges.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on, again right to the edges of the base.
  • Add your chicken, peppers, red onion, and any other toppings you may want onto the top of the pizza.
  • Put the pizza in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
  • Remove from the oven and enjoy!
