One of my major guilty pleasures is a sausage & egg McMuffin from Mcdonalds. They’re SO nice! Even throughout my journey with weight loss I would weigh in on the morning each week and then go straight to the McDonalds Drive Thru. Not the best! The longer I was doing this, the slower my losses were, and I needed to change that. Surely I could still have my beloved McDonalds breakfast and stay on plan? CORRECT!

Once I discovered that Tesco’s sold sausage patties, I knew it was a sign that I needed to stop going to the drive-thru and start making my own breakfast fakeaway!

Ingredients
x1 Morrisons Wholemeal Toasting Muffin
x1 Tesco Pork & Herb Sausage Patty
x1 Light Cheese Slice
1 Egg
Spray oil
Directions
- Slice your wholemeal muffin in half and set aside
- Spray a frying pan with spray oil and heat to a medium-high heat.
- Put your sausage patty in the frying pan and cook through, flipping to ensure both sides are cooked.
- Crack your egg into the frying pan and cook sunny side up. I use an egg ring to keep the circular shape! Flip the egg to cook the yolk to avoid a runny yolk.
- Once the egg and sausage patty is cooked, assemble your McMuffin. I put the cheese slice on first, followed by the sausage patty and then the egg.
- Serve and enjoy your guilt free breakfast!
