Perfect Home Made Chips

I have always seen chips as a food that was considered ‘naughty’ or a ‘cheat’ food. That was until l learnt how to make my own from scratch! Now I can have chips whenever I want as part of a healthy, balanced diet!

Making chips ‘healthy’ is all about how you make them, at the end of the day, it’s only a potato, and whether you mash them, roast them, sauté them or fry them, they can all be part of a healthy diet.

The ActiFry

Personally, I make my chips in my Tefal ActiFry. With this I can cook up to 6 portions of the food I love in a healthier way. I have the 2-1 feature which allows me to cook mains and sides together so that they’re ready to eat at the same time!

It requires hardly any oil and eliminates the need to deep fat fry! Obviously you can make other meals than just chips, but I really like the chips produced by my ActiFry! This gadget really is a game changer!

Seasoning

When I tell you that the seasoning is the most important part of this recipe, I really mean it! The seasoning that l use is the ‘chips and wedges’ seasoning from JD seasoning. This really adds a nice crisp and crunchy chip while adding a delicious flavour! You can purchase the seasonings by clicking here. If you use the code ‘JESSGETS20’ at checkout that will give you 20% off their whole website!
